During this four hour class, you will learn to understand, build, maintain, and troubleshoot AR pattern rifles.
Price includes class time, instructional materials, and all parts (except stripped lower receiver, which you will provide) needed to build a 16" M4 clone.
Any aluminum mil-spec receiver will do. These can be purchased from
aimsurplus.com,
spikestactical.com,
aeroprecision.com, or from your local gun shop.
You will walk in with your own lower receiver, and walk out with a complete rifle -- and a new and valuable skill set.
Course structure
- 1/2 hour theory
- 1/2 hour how to build
- 2 hours, break into groups of 5 to build and test
- 1 hour maintenance, troubleshooting
Please note: This is a paid class, you will need to purchase the "Build Your Own AR-15 Workshop" ticket from http://porcfest.com/register/ to participate as well as purchasing (sorry, federal licensing) your own receiver. Spaces are extremely limited (only 15) so register quickly.
After building your weapon you will be able to test it out during the Friday shoot.
