This workshop will offer a comprehensive introduction to a new proven form of renewable energy that has been developed through projects in Vermont and. New Hampshire, which captures heat and hot water from specially built compost systems. Compost Power can be economically viable without subsidies and can be done at any scale to heat homes, greenhouses or wash water without any fuel consumption. Gaelan Brown, Founder of CompostPower.org and author of the book “The Compost Powered Water Heater” will present the history and science of the concept along with case studies of projects of all scales including homestead/small-greenhouse heating and large scale farm systems such as the one operating at the University of New Hampshire’s organic dairy farm.
