Our two-party electoral system creates false dichotomies for voters, forcing people into a box. Gerrymandered districts with increased polarization create party monopolies, such that determinative elections are too often decided in publicly funded party primaries that independents and third parties have been shut out of, rendering the General Election meaningless. Independents, libertarians, and other like-minded people can work together for vibrant, open elections that allow for more competition, choice, and engagement. Let’s work to help set a new, more liberty-minded electoral vision for the entire country.
