This class will focus on the following topics: what is a mental illness; how to recognize a mental health emergency; how to respond to various types of mental health emergencies; what is a safety plan and how to make one for your loved one or yourself; what to do if the situation becomes violent and Law Enforcement Officers need to be called in and what to say to them about the situation.
