There is little else that is more effective then communicating the ideas of liberty then large scale liberty events be they conferences, festivals or something else; people learn a great deal of information very quickly and also get to meet with libertarians to discuss the ideas they hear about.
The FSP currently organizes two liberty events in NH a year and participants organize various smaller events around the state, from Keenevention through to Seacoast Freedom Expo, but wouldn’t it be great if we could have one a month organized by movers and locals?
This session will cover the logistics of organizing events, common problems you will encounter when organizing down to hard data such as costs, effective marketing and various other topics that will help you execute a successful liberty event large or small.
We will also cover support the FSP participants can offer to events via the teams we have in place for our events from A/V support, equipment rental, marketing and other logistical support.
A different "partner dance" step will be taught at 3pm in The Arcade each full day of PorcFest XI, culminating in a social dance on Saturday afternoon in which each of the steps can be used.
Merengue is a simple Latin dance that anyone can do. As such, it is a great dance for social mixing. In this class, all the leaders will end up dancing with all the followers. Once the basic "step" is learned, which takes about 40 seconds, one can add in arm movements from most any other dance, for endless variety.
Let's face it, we're all here together at PorcFest because somewhere deep down in each one of us there is an ultimately optimistic compulsion to embrace the full weight of the challenges that lie in the great contest of pursuing "liberty in our lifetime." It's hardly a smooth process. To many folks, the idea of a society imbued with Complete Liberty is downright morbid, if not impossible. We have to actively demonstrate that living by the first principles is not an ugly, untenable proposition, rather it actually works by putting the advantages of choice and nonviolence on full display. We can make the obviously preferable, mutually beneficial results of true freedom easily self-apparent, but not until vast improvements to how we communicate are made. This presentation will explore how we can make communicating the ideas of individual liberty effortless and contagiously appealing by modeling win-win strategies for our social interactions, transactions, and conflicts using the methodology of Nonviolent Communication. Following the presentation will be an interactive workshop providing audience members with a chance to experience applying NVC to the familiar challenges inherent to practicing the NAP and Self-Interest consistently in a still-Statist society.

There are innumerable ballroom dance steps, including waltz, quickstep, cha-cha, samba, etc. Tony will teach one or more, depending on the desires of those who come to the class.

You can prepare your dish either in the pavilion, or at your site then bring it to the pavilion. Arrive at the Pavilion as far in advance of the start time as you will need for preparation and set up of your dish. If using a camp stove, you must have a heat proof stand for it. This competition is focused on dishes that do NOT fit into the One Pot Cook Off. Snacks and desserts are encouraged, but just about anything goes. Drinks can also compete, but please include a non-alcohol version for non-drinkers. Got a great dish that doesn’t fit in with the Cook Off? This is your event to win! The main goal of this event is FUN & eating up some good tasting food. It is intended to compliment, not compete-with, the main One Pot CookOff.

You will be judging taste, appearance, showmanship, bribes, etc.; whatever you think is best and most important. Your $9 entry will allow you to sample many dishes, treats, and drinks.
To sign up as a contestant or to purchase diner/judge tickets, see the PorcFest registration page. If you have questions, post 'em at https://www.facebook.com/events/663411290386777/

Humans vs. Zombies is a game of tag. All players begin as humans, and three may volunteer to be the zombies. It is not required, but it is recommended that at least one adult is to be a zombie so there can be a contrast between the age groups. If three people do not volunteer, three people will be selected to be the zombies.

Safety Rules
We all want to have fun while playing HvZ, so it is always good that nobody gets hurt while playing. Here are some of the rules to help keep injuries to a minimum.
Safe Zones
There are some places where humans and/or zombies can rest. These are counted as “safe zones”, as they are areas where the game is not in effect. Tagging someone in these areas are not counted as turns/stuns. Players within these zones cannot ‘camp’ in a manner of speaking. Players can stay in these zones for 15-30 minutes at maximum. Zombies/humans are not to crowd these areas in wait of someone coming out. Be mindful of your peers.
Human Rules
The survivor team comprised of those who are to brave the apocalypse. Human players can be determined by the headband around their arm or leg.
Zombie Rules
The undead horde comprised of the unlucky souls who were infected from the start. Zombies can be determined by the headband around their head.
Miscellaneous Rules
We hope you have fun…and happy hunting.

Before you come to the “Beekeeping Basics: An Introduction to Beekeeping” class on Friday at 9:30AM in the Pavilion, come see the movie “Queen of the Sun: What Are the Bees Telling Us?”. This movie is a profound, alternative look at the global bee crisis from Taggart Siegel. Taking us on a journey through the catastrophic disappearance of bees and the mysterious world of the beehive, this engaging and ultimately uplifting film weaves an unusual and dramatic story of the heartfelt struggles of beekeepers, scientists and philosophers from around the world including Michael Pollan, Gunther Hauk and Vandana Shiva. Together they reveal both the problems and the solutions in renewing a culture in balance with nature. http://www.queenofthesun.com/
Please also join us Friday night at 9:00PM in Kids Hall for a screening of the movie “More Than Honey”.

The Auld Locals are one of Boston's most popular Irish folk bands, also playing festivals all over New England and touring Ireland. Now they are brining their music, with it's wisdom gleaned from the Irish struggle for freedom, to the liberty movement. After all, folk music is the music of the people!
With lead singer Cormac Marnell on tin whistle and banjo and Brian Mooney on guitar, watch The Auld Locals show how history is always relevant. They will spin tales and play songs about the police state, unemployment, the money manipulators, rebels, sacrifices for freedom, the innate yearning for sovereignty, and much more.
There's also some good tunes in there about love and life and ... drinking! So feel free to do as the Irish do and dance, sing and clap along! Enjoyment is mandatory and unavoidable!

We are starting a new tradition at Porcfest this year, the family group picture. If you have children with you at PF, grown or otherwise, bring them show the FSP is full of families!
A different "partner dance" step will be taught at 3pm in The Arcade each full day of PorcFest XI, culminating in this dance, in which each of the steps will be used.
This dance is "social" because it is partner dancing and everyone will have the chance to mix around and socialize on the dance floor. It will open it with a 1/2-hour waltz lesson by Jody. A variety of music will be played, such as waltz, swing, and Latin . . . including a few pieces during which dancers will be encouraged to switch partners during the number for extra fun, challenge, and hilarity. Don't be intimidated! Some of the steps can be danced by anyone who can walk. Y'all come!
Returning for its second year is PorcFest’s primetime game show which features a format inspired by TV’s Family Feud. Join MC Bob Murphy and teams of liberty “families” as they compete for Porcupine glory.
