Strangers in a Strange Land. How Libertarians Work in Mental Health Care Today. How Mental Health Care Might Work in a Voluntary Society.
Nicki, a Mental Health Clinician (and Liberty Doll from Facebook) and Jim, a psychiatrist (with no alter ego on Facebook) have both noticed that their pro-liberty ideals at times put them at odds with their coworkers, or the functioning of their field in general AND that their working in mental health also tends to put them at odds with others in the liberty movement. They will talk about how libertarian ideals affect working in the mental health field today, including insights and advantages that their ideals provide them, how they can facilitate their ideals through their jobs, and how they sometimes have to compromise their ideals as part of their jobs, or even how their ideals may affect their job security. They will also talk about how mental health care might be provided in a voluntary society, for various problems and in various patient populations. They hope to convince others that there is no reason for mental health professionals and individuals within the liberty movement to be natural enemies. We are not the thought police. We are not tranquilizing children so that they will sit still in the government schools. We also acknowledge that we are not necessarily speaking for all of our colleagues in those regards. Questions and discussion from the audience is encouraged, as long as the NAP/ZAP is adhered to.

Self-sufficient, Prepper, Survivalist: Which one am I?
With the goal of defining what the categories are, a panel of people who have experience exploring a self-sufficient, prepper, permaculturist, sustainable, and/or survivalist lifestyle will each explain how their lifestyles fit into one or more of the categories. They will explore the goals and approaches of each lifestyle, what people who adopt this lifestyle are afraid of, and what they hope for. We will also invite the audience to ask questions. We expect lively discussions and vehement disagreements about what each of the categories mean.

What if we re-designed manufacturing in the same way nature does? Therefore providing them the time and security required to become an educated, wise, and active participant in their local democracy. But also, the ability to abstain from being a participant in any personally objectional parts of society, economy, etc., without having to risk sacrificing personal security or quality of life.

Legislative Activism: Seizing the Reins of Power
One of the reasons New Hampshire was selected as the Free State is because, due to its unusually large State House of Representatives, it's relatively easy to get elected. In fact, around two dozen FSP early movers have already been elected to the State House! Dozens more have been elected to town councils and committees. Come learn tips, tricks and success stories from people who have been in the trenches of state politics, running campaigns, serving in the legislature, writing laws to expand freedom, fighting bad laws, gaining national press coverage, and mastering the fine art of working within the system to increase liberty in New Hampshire. This will be a panel discussion hosted by the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance.
